CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Portal Opens June 1: Key Dates and Process
CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Portal Opens June 1

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the schedule for Class 12 re-evaluation. The online portal for submitting re-evaluation requests will open from June 1, 2026. This update is crucial for students who wish to get their answer sheets rechecked.

Revised Schedule Details

Earlier, the re-evaluation process was scheduled for a later date. However, CBSE has now advanced the opening of the portal. Students can apply from June 1 to June 7, 2026. The board will announce the re-evaluation results by June 20, 2026.

Fee Structure

The fee for re-evaluation is Rs. 500 per subject. Students can apply for a maximum of two subjects. The fee is non-refundable.

Important Points to Remember

  • Re-evaluation is only for theory papers. Practical exams and internal assessments are not included.
  • The board will recheck the entire answer sheet. Marks may increase, decrease, or remain the same.
  • Students who are not satisfied with the re-evaluation results can apply for a photocopy of their answer sheets.

What Students Should Know

CBSE has clarified that re-evaluation is a thorough process. It is not a mere recounting of marks. Each answer is re-evaluated by a different examiner. The board ensures transparency and fairness. Students should carefully consider before applying, as marks can change in either direction.

This year, CBSE Class 12 results were announced on May 15, 2026. The overall pass percentage was 92.71%. The board has also introduced a new feature: students can now download their digital marksheets from the DigiLocker platform.
