Provisional Nature of Online Results
It is crucial for students to note that the online result will be provisional. The original mark sheets will be issued later through their respective schools, so the digital copy should be used for immediate reference until authenticated documents are distributed.
Steps to Check Result Online
To access the CBSE Class 12 result 2026 online, students need to visit official websites such as results.cbse.nic.in and cbse.gov.in. On the result login page, they must enter their roll number and school number. After submitting these details, the result will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to download and print a copy for their records.
Checking Result Through SMS and IVRS
Apart from online methods, students can check their results via SMS. To do so, send a message in the format: CBSE12 (roll number) (date of birth) (school number) (centre number) to 7738299899. The date of birth should be entered in DDMMYYYY format. Subject-wise marks will be sent to the registered mobile number.
The board also offers an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) for result checking. Students can dial 24300699, preceded by their area code, to access their results. Calls are charged at 30 paisa per minute for a single roll number.
Accessing Marksheets via DigiLocker
Students can download digital marksheets using DigiLocker. After logging in with credentials, they need to sync Aadhaar details if not already completed. By selecting ‘Pull Partner Documents’ and choosing the relevant board and marksheet options, students can access their documents. The marksheet will display key details including subject-wise scores, total marks, grades, and result status.
Examination and Evaluation Timeline
The CBSE Class 12 examinations for 2026 were conducted between 17-Feb-2026 and 10-Apr-2026. Students across the country appeared for board exams in various streams.
