The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has denied reports of technical glitches on its re-evaluation portal for Class 12 results, even as students flooded social media with complaints about login failures, payment issues, and inaccessible re-evaluation options. The portal opened for verification of marks on May 19, 2026, but many students faced persistent problems.
Student Complaints on Social Media
Students took to platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to voice their frustrations. One user, Sahil Setia, posted: "Stuck on this for 2+ hours just to log into the CBSE revaluation portal. If this is the preparedness for revaluation, imagine the rollout of OSM." Another student, Kamal Batra, wrote: "Registered successfully, but now the photocopy/revaluation window is not even available. Students are struggling again because of CBSE's pathetic system management."
Madhav, another user, shared a screenshot showing repeated redirections, saying: "Has been redirecting me for hours to login..entire day waste for CBSE parents." Kamal Batra also reported: "Payment deducted, verification failed. Every single step on the CBSE portal is breaking down."
CBSE's Official Response
In an official statement, CBSE clarified that the portal is functioning properly and attributed the issues to high traffic. A spokesperson said: "The system is working as intended. Students facing difficulties may have experienced temporary network congestion due to the large number of simultaneous logins. We advise users to try again after some time or use a stable internet connection."
However, students remain skeptical, with many questioning the board's preparedness. The re-evaluation window is critical for students seeking a review of their answer sheets, and any delay can impact their future academic plans.
Background
The CBSE Class 12 results for 2026 were announced earlier this month, and the verification process allows students to apply for re-evaluation or obtain photocopies of answer sheets. The board has faced criticism in the past for technical issues during result-related processes.
As of now, CBSE has not extended the deadline for applications despite the complaints. Students are advised to keep trying and report persistent issues through the official helpline.
