CGBSE Class 10 Result 2026: Pass Percentage 77.15%, Girls Top

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has officially announced the results for the Class 10 High School Certificate Examination 2026. The declaration was made on April 29, 2026, revealing an overall pass percentage of 77.15%.

Examination Statistics and Candidate Performance

A total of 3,21,677 candidates registered for the examination this year. Among them, 3,16,730 students actually appeared for the tests, comprising 1,40,402 boys and 1,76,328 girls. Results have been declared for 3,14,953 candidates, while the remaining cases are either withheld or placed under various scrutiny categories. Out of the declared results, 2,43,016 candidates successfully passed, resulting in the overall pass percentage of 77.15%.

Girls Outperform Boys Once Again

A consistent trend from previous years continues in 2026, with female candidates outperforming their male counterparts by a significant margin. The pass percentage for girls stands at 81.03%, while boys achieved a pass percentage of 72.27%. This gap of more than eight percentage points highlights the sustained academic excellence of female students. Education analysts attribute this trend to changing classroom dynamics, higher retention rates among girls, and improved participation in board-level examinations.

Among these, 15 cases are linked to cheating, 143 cases are under scrutiny, and 3 cases are to be declared later. Additionally, 1,616 candidates' applications were rejected due to lack of eligibility, reflecting the board's administrative strictness in this year's examination cycle.
