Chandigarh Students Secure Perfect Scores in JEE Main 2026, Earn Top National Ranks
In a remarkable academic achievement, two students from the Tricity region have secured a perfect 100 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2026, placing them among the top rankers nationwide. This outstanding performance highlights the region's growing prominence in competitive engineering examinations.
Exceptional Performers from Bhavan Vidyalaya Institutions
Aarush Singhal of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Chandigarh, achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 8. Meanwhile, Arnav Gandhi from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, secured AIR 22, making him one of the top performers from Haryana state. Both candidates attributed their success to consistent preparation, deep conceptual understanding, and thorough analysis of mock tests throughout their preparation journey.
Aarush Singhal's Strategic Approach to Preparation
Aarush followed a unique study methodology that emphasized shorter, focused learning sessions with regular breaks rather than marathon study hours. He maintained a disciplined routine of approximately 6 to 8 hours of daily self-study, complementing his classroom learning and peer discussions. Beyond JEE preparation, Aarush has demonstrated exceptional talent by clearing multiple stages of national-level Olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and astronomy.
"My current focus is entirely on JEE Advanced and securing admission to the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay for computer science engineering," Aarush stated, outlining his immediate academic goals.
Arnav Gandhi's Emphasis on Error Analysis
Arnav Gandhi, who scored an exceptional 295 out of 300 marks, stressed the critical importance of analyzing mistakes and systematically improving weak areas through regular testing. His academic credentials extend beyond JEE, having qualified for prestigious examinations including the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM), Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO), and national standard tests in physics and chemistry.
Similar to his counterpart, Arnav aims to pursue computer science engineering at a premier Indian Institute of Technology, demonstrating the shared ambition driving these young achievers.
Parental Support and Disciplined Routines
Parents of both students highlighted the crucial role played by disciplined study routines and clear goal-setting in their children's achievements. They emphasized how structured preparation, combined with intrinsic motivation, created an environment conducive to academic excellence.
The success of these students serves as inspiration for aspiring engineers across the country, demonstrating that strategic preparation combined with consistent effort can yield exceptional results in one of India's most challenging competitive examinations.
