Exams Affected by the Postponement
The Skill Test, Typing Test, and Descriptive Test for the posts of Junior Translator (Official Language), Stenographer Grade-D, and Junior Secretariat Assistant, which were originally scheduled to take place on February 24 and February 25, 2026, have now been deferred indefinitely. The authority has stated that these examinations will be rescheduled, with a new date to be announced at a later time.

In the notice issued on February 20, 2026, the Recruitment Cell referenced a previous communication from February 13, 2026, which had outlined the initial schedule for the Stage II and Stage III exams. The current postponement notice has been formally signed by the Deputy Director of the Recruitment Cell. All candidates are strongly advised to regularly check the official DDA website, dda.gov.in, for the latest information regarding the new examination dates and any additional instructions.
Background of the Recruitment Drive
This postponement is part of the larger DDA Recruitment 2025-26 initiative, which aims to fill a total of 1,732 positions across various categories. These include roles such as Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Patwari, Junior Engineer (JE), and Stenographer, among others. The original recruitment notification was published on September 12, 2025.
The online application window was open from October 6, 2025, to November 5, 2025. The deadline for fee payment was November 7, 2025, and candidates were permitted to print their application forms until November 28, 2025. The application portal remained accessible solely for viewing and downloading submitted forms until that date.

Furthermore, the Stage II written test for various other posts, which was also scheduled between February 24 and February 25, 2026, has been postponed.
