The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has officially announced the Class 10 SSC Result 2026, revealing an overall pass percentage of 83.86 percent. This marks an increase from the 83.08 percent recorded in the previous year, reflecting a steady upward trend in academic performance across the state.

Expanded Examination Network

For the 2026 examinations, the board expanded its testing infrastructure. A total of 1,006 examination centres were utilized, compared to 989 centres in 2025. This expansion facilitated a larger number of candidates, with 7,56,392 students appearing for the SSC examination this year, up from 7,46,892 in 2025. Out of these, 6,34,327 students successfully passed the examination, a notable increase from the 6,20,532 successful candidates in the previous year.

Gender Performance Gap Widens

The results continue to highlight a significant gender gap in academic performance. The pass percentage for female students stands at 88.28 percent, considerably higher than the 80.12 percent recorded for male students. Among repeat candidates, girls also outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 38.36 percent compared to 31.41 percent for boys. In the Gujarat State Open School (GSOS) category, female candidates achieved a pass percentage of 36.25 percent, surpassing male candidates who recorded 23.23 percent.

This consistent pattern underscores a sustained academic advantage among female students across all categories. The gap in performance has been a defining feature of Gujarat Board results in recent years, with girls maintaining a strong lead even as overall results show gradual improvement across the state.

In the 2025 Gujarat Board Class 10 results, girls clearly outperformed boys, continuing a consistent trend. The pass percentage for girls stood at 87.24 percent, while boys recorded 79.56 percent, marking a gap of 7.69 percentage points in favour of female students. The data highlighted a strong academic edge among girls in regular candidates, even as the overall pass percentage remained above 83 percent.

Similarly, in the 2024 Gujarat Board Class 10 SSC Result, girls once again outperformed boys by a clear margin. The pass percentage for girls stood at 86.69 percent, while boys recorded 79.12 percent, creating a gap of 7.57 percentage points in favour of female students. The overall pass percentage in 2024 was 82.56 percent, marking a sharp recovery from 2023. The gender gap remained a key feature of the results, underlining stronger performance by girls across the state.
