The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially announced that the results of Class 12 examinations for the General and Science streams, along with the GujCET 2026, will be declared on Monday, May 4, at 10 am. This marks a significant milestone for lakhs of students across the state who have been eagerly awaiting their outcomes.
Student Participation and Examination Details
According to the board, approximately 6.2 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examinations this year. This includes nearly 5 lakh students from the General stream and 1.2 lakh from the Science stream. Additionally, the results of GujCET 2026, in which about 1.3 lakh students participated, will also be released on the same day. The examinations were conducted during February and March 2026.
How to Check Results
Students can access their results on the official board website by entering their seat number. To enhance accessibility, the board has also introduced a WhatsApp-based service, enabling students to receive their results by sending their seat number to the designated number. This initiative aims to provide a convenient and quick way for students to obtain their scores.
Post-Result Procedures
The board stated that official marksheets, certificates, and school register (SR) documents will be distributed to schools after the online declaration. Detailed guidelines for mark verification, document correction, name changes, and reappearance procedures will be issued shortly after the announcement. Students are advised to stay tuned for further updates from the board.
Overall Examination Statistics
The board conducted Class 10 and 12 examinations for over 15.3 lakh students, including more than 9.1 lakh candidates from Class 10. For Class 12, the General stream saw 5,01,286 registered students, while 1,19,263 students appeared in the Science stream. To ensure timely evaluation, the board set up 454 evaluation centres and engaged 75,821 teachers. Of these, 172 centres with 29,804 teachers evaluated Class 12 General stream papers, while 69 centres with 9,055 teachers handled the Science stream assessment. With evaluation now complete, the board has finalized preparations for the result declaration, bringing an end to the wait for lakhs of students across Gujarat.
