National Testing Agency Publishes Provisional Answer Keys for JEE Main 2026 Session 2
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the release of provisional answer keys for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 2. This significant development allows candidates who participated in the examination to now access both the answer keys and their individual recorded response sheets through the designated official portal.
Examination Details and Global Reach
The agency successfully conducted JEE Main 2026 Session 2 across multiple dates throughout the month of April. The examination encompassed Paper 1, which is intended for B.E. and B.Tech aspirants, alongside Papers 2A and 2B for candidates pursuing B.Arch. and B.Planning courses respectively. The testing was administered at an extensive network of 567 centers spread across 306 cities within India, with an additional 14 international cities also hosting the examination.
Accessing Materials and Verification Process
For Paper 1, the provisional answer keys have been uploaded alongside the actual question papers and the candidates' recorded responses. These comprehensive materials are now available to facilitate thorough verification of answers, enabling examinees to calculate their probable scores with greater accuracy before the final results are declared.
Objection Submission and Fee Structure
Candidates who wish to contest any answers in the provisional key have the opportunity to raise formal objections by submitting challenges through the online platform. The challenge window is strictly open from April 11 until April 13, concluding at 11:50 PM. Each question challenged requires payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 200.
Payment methods for the challenge fee are restricted to Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking transactions. The NTA has explicitly stated that challenges submitted without the accompanying payment will not be considered under any circumstances, and no alternative modes of fee submission will be accepted.
Expert Review and Key Revision
Once submitted, all challenges will undergo meticulous review by panels of subject matter experts. Should any objection be deemed valid based on this expert assessment, the answer key will be revised accordingly. Importantly, any such revisions will be applied uniformly to the responses of all candidates to ensure fairness and consistency across the board.
Finalization and Result Preparation
Following the completion of the review process, a final, conclusive answer key will be prepared and published. The NTA has clarified that no individual communications will be sent to candidates regarding the acceptance or rejection of their specific challenges. The finalized answer key, as determined by the expert committee, will be treated as definitive and binding.
The results for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be compiled based exclusively on these revised final answer keys. Candidates are strongly advised to complete any challenge submissions well within the stipulated timeline, as the agency will not accept any objections after the April 13 deadline.
Contact Information and Support
For additional information or clarification, candidates may contact the NTA helpline at 011-40759000 or communicate via the official email address provided by the agency on their portal.
