Mysuru SSLC Pass Percentage Rises to 94.50%, District Rank Falls to 20th
Mysuru SSLC Pass Percentage 94.50%, Rank Slips to 20th

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has announced the SSLC results for the academic year 2025-26, and Mysuru district has achieved a pass percentage of 94.50%, a significant improvement from the previous year. However, despite the rise in pass rate, the district's rank among all districts in Karnataka has slipped to 20th place.

Regional Performance

In the Mysuru region, which includes the districts of Mysuru, Hassan, and Chamarajanagar, no student managed to score a perfect 100% in the examinations. This marks a notable absence of top scorers in the area, though overall performance has improved.

District-Wise Breakdown

  • Mysuru district recorded a pass percentage of 94.50%, up from 92.30% last year.
  • Hassan district saw a pass percentage of 93.80%.
  • Chamarajanagar district reported 91.20% passes.

The state average pass percentage stood at 96.40%, with several districts surpassing the 98% mark. This has pushed Mysuru down the rankings despite its own progress.

Reasons for Decline in Rank

Education officials attribute the drop in rank to the exceptional performance of other districts, particularly in northern and coastal Karnataka, which have shown remarkable improvement. The lack of cent percent scorers in the Mysuru region also contributed to the lower visibility.

However, the overall increase in pass percentage is seen as a positive sign, reflecting better teaching methods and student preparation. The district administration has announced plans to focus on top-performing students and provide additional support to schools in rural areas.

Student Reactions

Students across Mysuru expressed mixed emotions. While many were happy with their individual results, the absence of a state-level topper from the region was a disappointment. Schools have started counseling sessions to help students plan their next steps.

The KSEEB has made the results available online, and students can access their scorecards through the official website. Revaluation and supplementary examination dates will be announced shortly.
