School Teacher, Security Guard, and Clerk Grilled for Hours
The three individuals summoned for questioning included a school teacher, a security guard, and a clerk from the educational institution. They were brought to the Sadar police station and subjected to several hours of detailed interrogation as investigators sought to uncover their potential roles in the paper distribution network. Following extensive questioning, the trio was permitted to leave the police station, though they remain under scrutiny as the probe continues.
A senior police inspector involved in the case provided a stern update, stating, "We are conducting a thorough examination of their involvement and collecting evidence that could link them directly to the leak. The moment we secure concrete proof of their complicity, arrests will be executed without any delay." Widening Probe into Multi-Subject Paper Leaks
This latest development comes amid an expanding investigation that was initiated after the chemistry question paper was allegedly circulated on various WhatsApp groups just before the examination commenced on February 18. Similar leaks were reported for the physics paper on February 16, and even mathematics papers were compromised, with groups such as "Tech 1" reportedly sharing questions along with answers for a monetary fee.
The Sadar police have already made significant headway in the case, having arrested eight persons to date. Those apprehended include tuition-class operators, private teachers, a junior college principal, and a Class-IV staff member from a Jaitala school. This indicates a potentially organized network exploiting the examination system for financial gain.
Digital Forensics and Regional Network Concerns
Authorities are currently conducting digital forensic examinations of mobile phones and electronic devices seized during the investigation.
