The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the provisional answer key for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026. The answer key, along with the question papers and recorded responses of candidates, is now available on the official website: exams.nta.nic.in/NCET.

NCET 2026 Examination Overview

The NCET 2026 examination was conducted on April 17 and 18, 2026, across India in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. A total of 73,608 candidates appeared for the exam. Students can now check their responses and calculate their expected scores using the provisional answer key.

Challenging the Provisional Answer Key

Candidates who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key can raise objections by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question challenged. The answer key challenge window is open from April 28 to April 30, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. No challenges will be accepted after the deadline.

The challenge fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The NTA has clearly stated that no challenge will be accepted without successful payment of the processing fee. If a candidate's challenge is found correct, the answer key will be revised, and the final result will be prepared based on the revised final answer key. However, candidates will not receive individual information about whether their challenge has been accepted or rejected. The final answer key prepared by subject experts will be considered final. Additionally, challenges accepted against any answer key will apply to all candidates who attempted that question.
