The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a dedicated portal for students to report fake paper leak claims ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21. The move comes amid a fresh wave of rumours and unverified claims circulating on social media platforms.
NTA's Response to Misinformation
In a tweet on June 15, 2026, the NTA urged candidates not to let rumours dictate their NEET-UG 2026 journey. The agency emphasized that no one has access to the question paper before the exam and encouraged students to report fake websites, leaked paper offers, or individuals posing as NTA officials.
On June 16, 2026, the NTA reiterated its stance, asking users not to spread fake images or mislead students. The agency's official Twitter handle posted a warning against unverified content.
Social Media Claims and Fact-Checking
Several social media posts have claimed that the NEET paper has been leaked again. One user, @BGKidsClass1, posted images of a question paper with alphanumerical codes, alleging a leak similar to the 2024 re-exam. However, the PIB Fact Check unit has debunked these claims, labeling them as fake. In a June 13 tweet, PIB Fact Check advised candidates not to trust, share, or rely on unverified examination-related content and to seek authentic updates from official sources.
Portal for Reporting Fake Claims
The NTA's new portal allows students to report any suspicious activity or claims of paper leaks. The agency has assured that it will take strict action against those spreading misinformation. Candidates are advised to use the portal to report any fake websites, leaked paper offers, or impersonators.
The NEET-UG 2026 re-exam is scheduled for June 21, and the NTA is taking all necessary steps to ensure a fair and transparent examination process. Students are urged to rely only on official communications from the NTA and not to fall prey to baseless rumours.
