The University of Kota (UOK) has officially announced the Rajasthan State Eligibility Test (SET) 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online starting June 14, 2026, through the official website uok.ac.in.

Rajasthan SET determines eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges across the state. The examination is scheduled for September 6, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates from General, Unreserved, and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories must have at least 55% marks in their Master's degree from a UGC-recognized institution. Candidates from OBC Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST, PwD, and Third Gender categories require at least 50% marks. Students pursuing a Master's degree, appearing in final year exams, or awaiting results can also apply but must complete the qualification within two years from the SET result date.
No Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for appearing in Rajasthan SET 2026.
Examination Pattern
The exam comprises two objective-type multiple-choice papers:
- Paper I: 50 questions, 100 marks – Tests teaching/research aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.
- Paper II: 100 questions, 200 marks – Based on the candidate's chosen subject.
Total duration is 3 hours with no break.
Marking Scheme
- Each question carries 2 marks.
- 2 marks for correct answer.
- No negative marking.
- No marks for unanswered questions.
Application Fee
- General, SBC/OBC (Creamy Layer) of Rajasthan and other states: Rs 1,500
- EWS, SBC/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) of Rajasthan: Rs 1,200
- SC/ST of Rajasthan and all PwD: Rs 750

Validity of Certificate
The Rajasthan SET certificate is valid only within Rajasthan but remains valid for a lifetime. Qualified candidates may be considered for Assistant Professor positions by universities, colleges, and recruitment agencies as per their rules.
