The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has officially announced that the Class 12 state board examination results will be declared at 9:30 AM on Friday, May 8, 2026. This announcement was made by the department on Thursday, bringing clarity to students eagerly awaiting their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results.
Multiple Platforms for Result Access
To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience, the department has arranged several platforms for students to check their results. This initiative aims to prevent delays and reduce traffic on official websites. Students can access their marks online by entering their registration number and date of birth. Additionally, schools will receive the results, allowing students to collect their details directly from their respective institutions.
Official Websites
Students can view their Class 12 results on the official portals: tnresults.nic.in, dge.tn.gov.in, and results.digilocker.gov.in. Candidates must log in using their registration number and date of birth as mentioned in their examination records.
SMS Facility
Apart from online access, the school education department will send result details through SMS to the mobile numbers submitted by students in the undertaking forms provided to schools earlier. This arrangement has been made to help students receive their marks without relying solely on websites.
WhatsApp Facility
In a new initiative, students can also check their results through WhatsApp. To use this service, candidates need to send a 'Hi' message to 7845252525. After initiating the chat, students will be required to provide details including their class, registration number, and date of birth. This facility has been introduced with the support of the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency, aimed at expanding access channels for students and parents on result day.
Helpline Numbers for Queries and Counselling
The department has also issued helpline numbers for students who may have doubts regarding their results. Candidates can contact 14417 for result-related queries. In addition, counselling support will be available for students and parents through the helpline numbers 14417, 104, and 14416. Officials stated that the counselling services can be accessed by those seeking guidance after the declaration of results.
Students are advised to keep their registration numbers and date of birth handy for a smooth result-checking experience. The department has urged students to use the official channels only and avoid any unofficial sources.
