Prayagraj: Bhadohi in Class X and Lucknow in Class XII have emerged as the top-performing districts in the UP Board results 2026, dominating the state in terms of overall success rate. Bhadohi recorded the highest pass percentage of 95.78% for Class X, significantly above the state average of 90.42%, making it the best-performing district among all 75 districts.
Class XII Performance
In Class XII, Lucknow led the state with 89.17% pass percentage, well ahead of the overall 80.38%. This marks a shift from last year, when Agra and Amethi topped Class X and XII, respectively. While Agra slipped to second position in High School this year, it still improved its performance to 95.40% from 94.99% in 2025. Similarly, Amethi dropped to second place in Intermediate, followed by Amroha in third position. Notably, unlike 2025, when districts like Amethi and Amroha crossed the 90% mark, no district in Class XII managed to achieve more than 90% pass percentage this year.
Lowest Performing Districts
At the lower end, Lalitpur ranked last in Class X results with a pass percentage of 80.22%, continuing its weak performance from last year, when it stood at 74th position. In terms of Class XII, Deoria emerged as the poorest performer, with only 66.82% of students passing, making it the only district with a success rate below 70%. This marks a significant decline from 2025, when Deoria recorded 81.80% and was placed 43rd. Another district witnessing a dip is Lakhimpur Kheri, which slipped further in High School rankings from 72nd to 73rd position, with a pass percentage of 83.76%.
Prayagraj's Mixed Performance
Meanwhile, Prayagraj presented a mixed picture. Despite being the most populous district, it saw a sharp fall in Intermediate results, dropping to 71st position with a pass percentage of 74.29%, compared with 37th rank last year. However, in High School, Prayagraj performed strongly, securing the third position in the state with an impressive 95.36% pass percentage.
Overall Trends
Overall, the district-wise results reflect changing academic trends in Uttar Pradesh, with districts like Bhadohi and Lucknow leading the charts, while several others witnessed fluctuations in their performance.
