The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) has announced the schedule for the crucial pre-board examinations for high school and intermediate students in the Prayagraj district. The exams are set to be conducted from January 12 to January 28, 2024, across a vast network of educational institutions.
Exam Schedule and Key Instructions
District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) PN Singh officially released the examination timetable on Monday. The directive mandates that principals of all participating schools must adhere strictly to the notified schedule. Flexibility and Purpose of Pre-Board Tests
The education board has provided schools with a degree of flexibility. Apart from the subjects listed in the official district-wide schedule, schools have the autonomy to conduct pre-board examinations for other subjects at their own level. They can create their own timetables and question papers for these additional tests.
Education officials emphasize that the primary goal of these pre-board examinations is twofold. First, they provide students with a vital opportunity to assess their preparation level for the upcoming main UP Board examinations. Second, they enable teachers to identify and address learning gaps among students well in time. This practice run helps students familiarize themselves with the exam pattern, manage time effectively, and reduce anxiety before the final boards.
With the schedule now public, students in Prayagraj are expected to intensify their revision efforts. The successful conduct of these pre-board exams is seen as a critical step towards ensuring better performance in the main board examinations later in the academic year.
