School Participation Data

Data on school participation shows a significant disparity in numbers across categories. In Class X, students from 2,635 government schools and 4,517 government-aided schools appeared for the exams. These were dwarfed by the 21,336 self-financed schools whose students took the Class X examinations across the state. A similar pattern was seen in Class XII, where students from 995 government schools and 4,082 government-aided schools appeared for the exams. In comparison, students from 13,583 self-financed schools participated in the Class XII examinations.

The figures underline the numerical dominance of private institutions, even as performance leadership alternates between private and government schools across the two key board examinations.
