UPSC IFSE 2025 Main Results Announced, Interview Stage Next

UPSC Announces IFSE 2025 Main Examination Results

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the results of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2025. This crucial examination was conducted from November 16 to November 23, 2025. Candidates whose roll numbers appear on the official results list have successfully qualified for the next and final stage of the selection process: the Personality Test, commonly referred to as the interview.

Provisional Candidature and Document Verification

The Commission has emphasized that the candidature of all shortlisted candidates remains provisional and is subject to thorough verification of eligibility criteria. During the interview, candidates will be required to produce original documents to substantiate their claims. This includes proof of age, educational qualifications, community status (such as SC/ST/OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category certification, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) status, and any other applicable certificates as mandated by the Commission.

Interview Schedule and E-Summon Procedure

The Personality Tests will be conducted at the Commission's office located at Dholpur House on Shahjahan Road in New Delhi. The detailed interview schedule and the electronic Summon Letters (e-Summon Letters) will be made available exclusively on the official UPSC websites. Candidates must download these documents online, as no separate paper summon letters will be issued.

Candidates who encounter difficulties downloading their e-Summon Letters are advised to contact the Commission immediately through the provided phone, fax, or email channels. The Commission has also made it clear that requests for changes to the assigned date and time of the interview will ordinarily not be entertained.

Mandatory Online Application Form Updates

All candidates shortlisted for the Personality Test are mandatorily required to fill in or update specific fields in their Online Application Form (OAF). This critical step includes providing the current status of their educational qualifications along with uploading proof of passing the qualifying examination. Failure to upload the necessary supporting documents will result in the cancellation of candidature and the non-issuance of the e-Summon Letter.

For candidates updating their details, the required information may extend to:

  • Correspondence and permanent address
  • Higher educational qualifications
  • Professional achievements and employment or service experience
  • Previous service allocation details (if applicable)
  • Marital status and parental information
  • Previous examination attempts
  • OBC or EWS annexures
  • PwBD recommendations
  • Socio-economic status details

Even candidates who have previously uploaded the required information must log in again, verify all details, and formally submit the form to successfully generate their e-Summon Letter.

Submission Window and Cadre Preference Rules

The Commission has established a strict 15-day window from the declaration of the written results for candidates to update mandatory details and upload qualification proofs. The online submission facility will be operational exclusively from February 27, 2026, until March 13, 2026, up to 6:00 PM. No appeals for submission after this deadline will be considered.

This submission window also serves as the final opportunity for candidates to modify their cadre preferences and related details. Once submitted, no requests for changes in cadre preference will be entertained. Cadre allocation will be conducted according to the policy prevailing at the time of allotment, with due consideration given to the preferences indicated by the candidates.

Additional Provisions and Result Status Information

Upon successful submission of the necessary information, a unique reference number will be sent to each candidate via email or SMS to their registered mobile number. Candidates must note that any changes to address or contact details must be communicated to the Commission within seven days of the press note's issuance through approved channels.

Following the completion of the interviews and the publication of the final result, the Commission will upload the mark sheets of all candidates within 15 days. These mark sheets will remain accessible for download for a period of 30 days.

In a related development, the result of one petitioner candidate has been kept in a sealed cover. This action is in compliance with an interim order issued by the Gujarat High Court in Special Civil Application No. 12450/2025.
