Mandya District-Level Job Fair 2026 Attracts Massive Participation

The District-Level Job Fair 2026, held in Mandya, Karnataka, witnessed an overwhelming response from job seekers across the region. On Saturday, the event saw more than 3,000 candidates registering directly at the venue, adding to the nearly 6,000 online registrations that were received prior to the fair. This combined turnout underscores the high demand for employment opportunities in the district and surrounding areas.

Extensive Corporate Participation and Recruitment Outcomes

A total of 124 companies from diverse sectors participated in this mega employment drive, making it one of the largest job fairs held in Mandya in recent years. The fair resulted in the immediate recruitment of 212 candidates, comprising 120 women and 92 men, who were issued appointment orders on the spot. Additionally, 929 candidates, including 486 women and 443 men, were shortlisted for further stages of the recruitment process and will undergo additional rounds of evaluation.

Prominent Companies and Inclusivity Initiatives

Prominent companies such as JK Tyre, Dr Reddy's Foundation, L&T Finance, MANMUL, CIPET, Toyota, Automotive Axles, and Apollo actively took part in the job mela. In a significant boost for inclusivity, 61 specially abled candidates secured jobs on the spot and received appointment orders from participating firms. An additional 18 specially abled candidates were shortlisted for subsequent rounds, highlighting the fair's strong focus on providing equal opportunities for all job seekers.

Leadership Insights and Regional Impact

Speaking to TOI, zilla panchayat CEO K R Nandini, who spearheaded the initiative, noted that candidates from across Mandya district—as well as from Hubballi, Chikkamagaluru, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar—participated in the job fair. She emphasized that the event offered multiple avenues for aspirants, with some attendees engaging in as many as 10 interviews in a single day, showcasing the diverse and intensive nature of the recruitment process.
