The admission process for the 2026-27 academic session at the constituent colleges of Rajasthan University (RU) will commence on Thursday. Students can submit their application forms until June 14, as confirmed by officials on Wednesday.
New Merit-Based Admission Process
Ram Avtar Sharma, convener of the Central Admission Committee, announced the introduction of a new merit-based admission system for courses offered at the university's four constituent colleges. This applies specifically to the three or four-year programmes under the semester scheme. The courses include BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, BBA, undergraduate programmes within the faculty of fine arts (BPA/BVA), as well as BTech and MTech programmes.
Important Instructions for Applicants
The university administration has advised students to provide a correct email ID in the application form, as all communication regarding the application will be sent to that email address. Sharma emphasized, "It is mandatory for students to fill out a separate application form for each individual course they wish to apply for. Therefore, students are advised to exercise caution and care while filling out the forms." This year, students are not required to submit a hard copy of the filled-in application form, as the entire process will be conducted online.
