APPSC 2026 Exam Schedule: 21 Notifications, Two Spells in Jan-Feb
APPSC 2026 Exam Dates Announced for 21 Posts

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has officially announced the complete examination timetable for a major recruitment drive covering 21 different notifications. The written tests will be conducted in two distinct phases in early 2026, marking a significant step in the state's government hiring process.

Two-Phase Examination Schedule Finalised

In a move to streamline the massive logistical exercise, the Commission has grouped all examinations into two separate spells. The first spell will run from January 27 to January 31, 2026, while the second spell is scheduled from February 9 to February 13, 2026. Examinations will be held in both Forenoon (FN) and Afternoon (AN) sessions. All tests will be conducted in the traditional offline OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) mode, as confirmed in an official web note issued on December 2, 2025.

Detailed Post-Wise Exam Calendar

The comprehensive schedule encompasses a wide array of state services, offering opportunities across multiple departments. The recruitment notifications, numbered from 06/2025 to 29/2025, include posts such as Agriculture Officer, Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil), Horticulture Officer, Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector (AMVI), Royalty Inspector, Inspector of Factories, Junior Accounts Officer, and various Forest Service positions.

As per the released calendar, the examination for the post of Agriculture Officer (Notification 09/2025) will be held on January 27 (General Studies & Mental Ability) and January 28 afternoon (Agriculture). Similarly, the exam for Assistant Engineer (Notification 20/2025) is slated for January 27 (GS & MA) and January 30 forenoon (Civil/Mechanical). The mains examinations for Forest Beat Officer and Forest Section Officer are scheduled in the second spell in February.

Key Provisions for Multi-Notification Applicants

In a candidate-friendly measure, APPSC has introduced a system of common papers for aspirants who have applied for multiple posts under different notifications. This is designed to avoid duplication and make the process more efficient.

The Commission has specified three common paper groupings:

  • Common GS & MA paper for candidates under Notifications 1 to 14.
  • Common GS & MA paper for candidates under Notifications 15 and 16.
  • Common GS & MA paper plus a common Qualifying Test for candidates under Notifications 18 and 19.

This means eligible candidates will need to appear for these common papers only once, even if they have applied for several posts falling within the same group.

District-Wise Allocation of Exam Centres

APPSC has also clarified the geographical distribution of examination centres to ensure smooth conduct and accessibility. The plan involves a two-tier system based on the notification.

For a majority of the posts (18 notifications covering serial numbers 1 to 17 and 21), the written examinations will be held across five key district centres: Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, NTR district, Tirupati, and Ananthapuramu.

However, for the remaining notifications (18 to 20), the tests will be conducted more widely across all 13 erstwhile districts of Andhra Pradesh. This broader distribution is intended to provide easier access to candidates appearing for these specific positions. The Commission has urged all applicants to verify their allotted centre carefully on their hall tickets once released.

With this announcement, lakhs of aspirants across Andhra Pradesh can now begin their final preparations in a structured manner, aligning their study plans with the specific dates for their desired posts.
