The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) has announced that the registration process for the Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT) 2026 August session will commence on May 26, 2026. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website until June 23, 2026.
Exam Schedule and Admit Card
According to the official schedule, the CDAC C-CAT August 2026 examination will be conducted on July 4 and July 5, 2026, at various test centers across the country. The admit card for the exam will be released approximately three to four days before the examination date. The duration of the entrance test is one hour.
Application Fee
Candidates applying for the exam must pay the following application fee:
- Rs 1,550 for Course Category II (Papers A+B)
- Rs 1,750 for Course Category III (Papers A+B+C)
The fee can be paid online during the application form submission process.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology in the following disciplines are eligible to apply:
- Information Technology (IT)
- Computer Science (CS)
- Electronics
- Telecommunications
- Electrical
- Instrumentation
Applicants must have secured at least 55 percent aggregate marks in their qualifying degree. CDAC has also clarified that there is no age limit for admission to its postgraduate certificate programs.

- Register using basic details to create login credentials.
- Fill in personal and academic information in the application form.
- Upload the required documents and photographs in the prescribed format.

CDAC postgraduate certificate programs are 24-week full-time courses that include approximately 1,200 hours of training and 300 hours of self-study. The postgraduate diploma batch for the August session is scheduled to begin on August 24, 2026.
