Ludhiana Girls Dominate PSEB Class XII Results

Ludhiana: Girls have dominated the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class XII results, with two students from the city achieving perfect scores and leading a wave of academic excellence across the region. The results, released on Wednesday, saw Suhani Chauhan and Divanshi secure 100% marks in the humanities stream, propelling Ludhiana to multiple top-tier state rankings in science, commerce, and humanities.

The Perfect Score

Suhani Chauhan, a student of BCM Senior Secondary School, and Divanshi, from Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial School, both scored 500 out of 500. They tied for first place in the city, but in the state rankings, where age served as the tiebreaker among candidates with perfect scores, Suhani secured second place and Divanshi third. Suhani, whose father works as an HR executive, aims to study law at Guru Nanak Dev University. Divanshi, who recently returned to India after completing her Class X studies in Canada, attributed her success to a disciplined schedule and now plans to enter the information technology sector. She enjoys reading and dancing in her free time.

Triumph Over Adversity

The results also highlighted the achievements of students from modest backgrounds. Simran Tiwari, whose father is a vegetable vendor, secured second place in the city with a 99.4% score in the science stream. Despite her family's financial constraints, she studied through the night, often from 9 pm to 2 am, to pursue her dream of becoming a cardiologist. She credited her school for providing the financial support necessary to complete her studies.

Commerce Leaders

In the commerce stream, a three-way tie emerged at Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial School. Tanya Sharma, Shauryaveer Thakur, and Ranjit Singh all recorded 98.4%. The trio represents a broad cross-section of Ludhiana's workforce, with their parents working as a gurdwara sewadar, a building material store owner, and an accountant. Their career ambitions include civil services, banking, and digital marketing.
