Mandya: Deputy Commissioner Kumara has directed officials to ensure that the II PUC Annual Exam-2 (supplementary examinations), scheduled from April 30 to May 13, is conducted transparently and without any lapses.
Preparatory Meeting Highlights
Chairing a preparatory meeting at the DC's office on Monday, Kumara stated that a total of 2,877 students will appear for the examinations across seven centres in the district. The examinations will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. On the final day, May 13, exams will be conducted in two sessions — from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Measures to Ensure Exam Integrity
To maintain the integrity of the examination process, all photocopy and cyber centres within a 200-metre radius of examination centres will remain closed during the exam period. Kumara said all examination centres are equipped with CCTV cameras and will be monitored continuously. He instructed officials to ensure that all cameras function without any technical glitches during the examination period.
Infrastructure and Monitoring
The DC also stressed the importance of providing essential infrastructure at all examination centres. Officials have been directed to ensure that basic facilities such as drinking water, adequate lighting, and proper seating arrangements are available for students.
Kumara further emphasized the need for strict adherence to examination rules and regulations. Any negligence or lapse on the part of officials will be dealt with seriously, he warned.
The supplementary examinations are crucial for students who need to clear their II PUC exams to progress to higher education. The district administration is committed to providing a fair and transparent examination environment.
