For many Class 12 students waiting for their board results and applying for the NDA & NA (II) Exam 2026, there is good news. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will allow candidates whose results are still pending to apply under the result awaited category. This ensures that students do not miss the opportunity due to varying board result declaration timelines.
Key Benefits for Students
Students can appear for the written examination scheduled for September 13, 2026, and participate in the SSB interview process even if their Class 12 result has not been declared by then. The initiative aims to prevent any candidate from being left out of the selection cycle because of delayed board results.
Conditional Relaxation
However, this relaxation comes with a clear condition. Candidates must be able to produce proof of passing Class 12 before the training starts on July 1, 2027. Without this, they will not be eligible to join the academy, even if they clear the written test and interview.
Eligibility Criteria for Different Wings
The eligibility rules remain the same for different wings. For the Army Wing, candidates from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) can apply. However, for the Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy, Physics and Mathematics in Class 12 are compulsory.
