The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has officially made the admit cards available for the upcoming Punjab Civil Services (PCS) Preliminary Examination for the year 2025. This is a critical step for thousands of aspirants aiming for a prestigious career in the state's administration.

Key Examination Details and Revised Vacancies

All candidates who have successfully registered for the examination can now download their hall tickets exclusively from the official website, ppsc.gov.in. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy of this admit card to the examination hall on December 7, 2025.

In a significant update, the commission has increased the total number of available positions. The recruitment drive, which initially advertised 322 vacancies, has now been revised upwards to 331 posts. These roles are spread across vital state services including the administrative branch, police, revenue, and other allied departments.

How to Download Your PPSC Admit Card

Follow these simple steps to secure your hall ticket for the PCS Prelims:

  1. Go to the official PPSC portal at ppsc.gov.in.
  2. Look for the 'Admit Card' section on the homepage.
  3. Find and click on the link specifically for the Punjab PCS Prelims 2025.
  4. Enter your login credentials, such as your registration number and password or date of birth.
  5. Your admit card will appear on the screen. Download the PDF and take multiple printouts for safety.

The admit card is a vital document containing essential information like the candidate's name, roll number, exam centre address with clear instructions, reporting time, and the schedule for the papers.

Exam Day Protocol and Guidelines

The Preliminary examination will be conducted in two separate shifts on the same day. Paper 1 (General Studies) is scheduled from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by Paper 2 (CSAT) from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Candidates must adhere to strict guidelines on the exam day. It is compulsory to bring a printed copy of the admit card along with an original, valid photo ID proof. Acceptable identification includes an Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence.

Aspirants are strongly advised to reach their designated exam centre at least one hour before the reporting time to allow for necessary security checks and verification processes. Any discrepancy in the details on the admit card could lead to denial of entry.

Furthermore, electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited inside the examination premises. Candidates must use only blue or black ballpoint pens for marking their answers on the OMR sheets.
