Hamirpur, March 16, 2026 – In a significant event aimed at empowering the younger generation, Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani presided over the valedictory function of a six-day youth leadership training program at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Bilaspur. The program, organized by the Art of Living organization, saw enthusiastic participation from 126 trainees, who engaged in activities designed to build confidence and leadership skills.

Minister Dharmani Highlights Crucial Role of Leadership Training

Addressing the gathering, Minister Dharmani underscored the importance of youth leadership programs in the holistic development of individuals. "Youth leadership programmes play a crucial role in confidence-building among the younger generations," he stated, emphasizing that such initiatives provide young people with opportunities to discover their unique potential and understand their inherent strengths.

Dharmani urged the trainees to value themselves and cultivate self-respect, advising them to balance social and moral values to steer their lives in the right direction. "This approach not only helps youth create a distinct identity but also keeps them constantly motivated to progress in life," he added. He further encouraged participants to learn from their own experiences rather than imitating others, noting that nature itself serves as a great teacher from which valuable lessons can be drawn.

In his speech, the minister called on youth to move beyond fantasies and embrace reality, stressing that one's attitude towards life directly influences thoughts and actions. "Become physically, mentally, and intellectually strong," Dharmani urged, warning that mental weakness can lead individuals towards social evils like drug abuse.

He acknowledged that challenges are an inevitable part of life and encouraged the trainees to face them courageously. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of continuous skill upgradation and lifelong learning to ensure that individuals never feel inferior to others.

During the event, Minister Dharmani commended the Art of Living organization for its commendable work in the field of de-addiction, highlighting their contributions to societal well-being. Earlier in the program, Omkar Singh, Principal of ITI-Bilaspur, provided an overview of the leadership training initiative, detailing its objectives and impact on the participants.
