CUSB Students Achieve Excellence in National CSIR NET-JRF Examination
Students from various departments at the Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) have demonstrated outstanding performance in the recently announced CSIR NET-JRF December 2025 examination. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results, highlighting the academic prowess of CUSB scholars across multiple disciplines.
Biotechnology Department Leads with Multiple Qualifiers
According to CUSB Public Relations Officer Mudassir Alam, the biotechnology department emerged as a standout with five successful candidates. Abhitej Kumar Jha secured an impressive 131st All India Rank in the examination. His fellow biotechnology students, Sanish Kumar, Pritikana Mallick, Nisha, and Sibsankar Mallick, have all qualified for admission into Ph.D. programs, showcasing the department's strong research orientation.
Chemistry Scholars Secure Top National Ranks
The chemistry department also celebrated significant achievements, with three students qualifying for the examination. Ashutosh Dey delivered an exceptional performance by securing the 9th All India Rank, a remarkable feat in this highly competitive national test. Arnab Patra and Rajneesh Patel followed closely, securing the 78th and 81st All India Ranks respectively, further cementing the department's academic excellence.
Geology and Geography Departments Contribute to Success
Rudra Narayan Patnaik, a student from the geology department, successfully qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Meanwhile, Manish Kumar from the geography department qualified for the position of assistant professor through the examination, demonstrating the university's strength across diverse academic fields.
Broad-Based Academic Achievement
Alam noted that numerous scholars from other departments at CUSB have qualified for research fellowships and assistant professorship positions through the NTA test. This achievement follows the university's recent success in the UGC NET examinations, where nearly 100 scholars qualified approximately one month prior, indicating a consistent pattern of academic excellence at the institution.
The CSIR NET-JRF examination serves as a crucial gateway for research careers in science and technology, with successful candidates eligible for fellowships to pursue doctoral studies and opportunities for academic positions. CUSB's performance in this national-level test underscores the quality of education and research training provided at the university, particularly in science disciplines.
This achievement highlights the growing reputation of CUSB as a center for academic excellence in Bihar and beyond, with students competing successfully at the national level against candidates from institutions across India.
