Dhubri: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) deputy chief executive member Rihan Daimary on Friday laid the foundation stone for a centre of educational excellence on the premises of the Kokrajhar District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Kokrajhar. The central government is funding the project.
Transformative Impact on Education
Speaking on the occasion, Daimary stated that the upgrade would bring significant changes in the education sector and is expected to enhance DIET’s capabilities in the future. He emphasized the need for qualitative training of teachers in all aspects of the modern education system, enabling them to deliver value-based education to students. Daimary expressed hope that the initiative would improve the region’s educational environment and play a crucial role in enhancing teachers’ professional skills.
Approval and Attendance
The National Council for Teacher Education has approved the institute. Legislator Rupam Roy, BTC executive member D Basumayary, and MCLA Khampa Borgoysri were present at the event.
