Perambalur: A government school student from Perambalur district has achieved a remarkable feat by securing admission to the chemical engineering programme at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras after clearing the JEE Advanced examination.

Student's Background

P Aravindhan, a native of Kariyanur village, completed his Class XI and XII at the Perambalur Government Model School. After passing the Class XII public examination this year, he qualified in the national-level JEE Advanced examination and successfully secured a seat for chemical engineering at IIT Madras.

District Collector Felicitates Student

District Collector Sharanya Ari felicitated Aravindhan at the collectorate on Tuesday and lauded his achievement. Congratulating the student, she said his success demonstrated that government school students could compete at the highest levels and gain admission to premier institutions.
