Gujarat ACPC Announces 2026-27 Engineering Admission Details

Gujarat ACPC Releases Comprehensive Plan for 2026-27 Engineering Admissions

In a significant development for aspiring engineers, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) in Gujarat has announced detailed guidelines for seat allocation, awareness programmes, and the admission schedule for degree engineering courses for the academic year 2026–27. This announcement brings much-needed clarity to thousands of students targeting admissions in government, self-financed, and specialised engineering institutes across the state.

Seat Distribution Policy: A Breakdown

According to the approved seat distribution policy, 95% of government engineering seats will be allocated based on GujCET scores of students from Gujarat, while the remaining 5% will be reserved for candidates from across India, determined by their performance in JEE (Main). In self-financed colleges, 50% of seats will be filled through the ACPC centralized process, with the other 50% managed at the institutional level. Additionally, 25% of seats in centres of excellence (CoE) will be allotted according to specific admission rules prescribed for these institutes.

Awareness Initiatives to Guide Students

To ensure a smooth admission process, ACPC will conduct extensive awareness programmes starting from April 11. These initiatives include around 52 offline sessions organised across various districts, focusing on critical aspects such as online registration, document verification, and choice filling. Online webinars will also be hosted to address student queries and explain procedures in detail, providing comprehensive support throughout the admission journey.
