The district-level technical education conclave, 'SOAR 2026', organized by Kerala Technological University (KTU) with participation from engineering colleges under its jurisdiction, will commence on Monday.
Conclave Objectives
The conclave aims to provide students and parents with a comprehensive understanding of engineering education in Kerala, including available courses, career opportunities in the engineering sector, and the facilities offered by various institutions. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Fab Labs, startup and incubation centers, innovation hubs, and other academic and research facilities available across engineering colleges in the state.
Schedule and Venues
The conclave will be held at selected engineering colleges in each district, with participation from institutions within the respective districts as well as interested colleges from other districts. A total of 30 engineering colleges across Kerala will host the SOAR 2026 conclave on June 15, 17, and 19.
KTU Vice-Chancellor Sisa Thomas urged students preparing for higher education and their parents to make the most of the opportunity to interact directly with institutions and learn about the diverse academic and career prospects available in engineering education. In Thiruvananthapuram, the conclave will be held at MG College of Engineering and Muslim Association College of Engineering on Monday. Lourdes Matha College of Science and Technology and Marian Engineering College will host the event on Wednesday, while Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology will serve as the venue on Friday.
