In a strategic move to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world application, Lamrin Tech Skills University in Punjab has successfully executed a series of industrial visits for its computing students. This initiative, spearheaded by the University School of Computing in partnership with industry skilling collaborator Lernern, targeted students enrolled in specialized programs such as BCA in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, BCA in Cyber Security, and MCA.
Cybersecurity Insights at Techlive Solutions
During one of the key visits, students had the opportunity to explore Techlive Solutions, where they engaged in an interactive session with cybersecurity expert and program head, Navneet Singh. The discussion delved into critical aspects of cybersecurity practices, emerging digital threats, and practical applications within the field. This hands-on exposure allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of how theoretical concepts are implemented in professional environments, fostering a more comprehensive learning experience.
AI and Machine Learning Focus at Future Finders
In another significant visit, students connected with industry professionals at Future Finders. Bonish, the director and an IT specialist, led an engaging session that highlighted current trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the broader IT industry. According to Department Head Amandeep Kaur Kang, the initiative involved more than 130 students, who were accompanied by dedicated faculty coordinators.
