Lucknow Book Fair Inaugurated with Emphasis on Knowledge and Development
State Minister for Higher Education Yogendra Upadhyay officially opened the 10-day Lucknow Book Fair at Ravindralaya on Thursday, marking the start of an event dedicated to fostering literary engagement and educational growth.

In his inaugural address, Yogendra Upadhyay eloquently described books as "friends, guides, and gurus", underscoring their vital role in personal and intellectual development. Upadhyay urged the department to actively encourage student participation, noting that while course books provide essential factual knowledge, reading novels and other genres is crucial for personality development and expanding the horizons of young people. The Lucknow Book Fair will continue until March 22, remaining open daily from 11 am to 9 pm, with free entry for all visitors. This year's event is organized around the theme "Vision-2047", which focuses on the broader goals of "Developed India, Developed State". This theme aims to inspire discussions and readings that align with national and state development aspirations.

Fair Director Aakarsh Chandel announced that this year's fair introduces several new literary genres to cater to diverse interests. The expanded offerings include:
