Ludhiana College Students Honored by Panjab University for Sports Excellence
In a significant recognition of athletic talent, eight students from Khalsa College for Women in Ludhiana have been honored by Panjab University for their exceptional performance across various sports disciplines. The ceremony, organized by the university's directorate of sports, celebrated achievements in judo, athletics, cycling, and basketball, highlighting the institution's commitment to fostering sports excellence.
Honored Students and Their Achievements
The students recognized during the event include Muskan Rathi for judo, Hakikat Kaur Grewal for athletics, Jasmeek Kaur Sekhon for cycling, and Nandini Saha, Komalpreet Kaur, Nadar Kaur Dhillon, Chanda, and Bhumika for basketball. Each of these athletes demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication in their respective fields, contributing to the college's strong sports reputation.
Cash Prizes and Financial Recognition
Along with the honors, the students received substantial cash prizes from Panjab University. Muskan Rathi was awarded twenty-eight thousand rupees, Jasmeek Kaur Sekhon received forty-one thousand rupees, and Hakikat Kaur Grewal got nine thousand rupees. The basketball players each received twenty-one thousand rupees, recognizing their collective and individual efforts. Additionally, coaches and managers, including Saloni, Navjot, and Ravinder, were collectively granted fifty-two thousand rupees for their instrumental roles in training and support.
