Maharashtra Governor Calls for Tech-Driven Agricultural Leadership at MPKV Convocation
In a significant address at the 39th convocation ceremony of Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Maharashtra Governor and University Chancellor Jishnu Dev Varma passionately urged agriculture graduates to dedicate their careers to advancing their field and serving humanity. The event was held at the prestigious Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar auditorium in Rahuri, Nashik.

In his role as chancellor of all state universities, Governor Varma presented an honorary Doctor of Science (DSc) to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This recognition was awarded for Fadnavis's comprehensive contributions to overall development, with a particular emphasis on agriculture. The state government has launched numerous schemes under his leadership, all aimed at empowering farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity.

Chief Minister Highlights Government Initiatives
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also addressed the convocation gathering, highlighting key government programs that have directly benefited the farming community. He noted, "The Jalyukta Shivar initiative has successfully made water available to farmers, addressing critical irrigation needs. Additionally, the Chief Minister Solar Agriculture Feeder provides free power during the day to 65% of farmers, significantly reducing their operational costs and promoting the use of renewable energy." These schemes are part of a broader strategy to make agriculture more profitable and resilient.

The convocation was a momentous occasion for 4,602 graduates who received their degrees across various disciplines.
