National PG College Mandates Digital Lecture Uploads on YouTube for Enhanced Student Learning

In a significant move towards modernizing education, National PG College in Lucknow has officially directed its faculty members to record their classroom lectures and upload them onto the institution's dedicated YouTube channel. This initiative aims to provide students with easy access to educational content for revision and supplementary learning, ensuring that digital resources become an integral part of the regular teaching methodology.

Academic Council Approves New Programmes and Digital Integration

The decision was finalized during the academic council meeting held on Tuesday, where several key approvals were granted. The council has introduced new academic programmes designed to enhance employability and skill-based learning. These include Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Logistics, Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Digital Electronics, Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) specializations, as well as a Master of Arts (MA) in History.

Additionally, the college has launched apprenticeship-embedded degree programmes, further bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. In a bid to align with global educational standards, the curriculum now incorporates the Indian Knowledge System and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, SWAYAM courses have been integrated across all programmes to promote online and flexible learning opportunities.

Focus on Digital Archiving and Research Grants

Principal Devendra Kumar Singh elaborated on the strategic enhancements, stating, "We are expanding our admission consultancy services to better assist prospective students. The newly introduced MA (History) programme will have a strong emphasis on digital archiving, Geographic Information System (GIS) applications, heritage studies, and environmental history. To provide hands-on experience, internship opportunities will be available at prestigious organizations such as the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), state archives, and Uttar Pradesh tourism departments."

In support of academic research, a grant of Rs 15 lakh has been approved for major and minor research projects, encouraging faculty and students to engage in innovative studies. Principal Singh also highlighted the creative potential of digital content, noting, "Teachers have been encouraged to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) features in their video lectures to enhance student comprehension and make learning more interactive and engaging."

Embracing Technology for Future-Ready Education

This comprehensive digital transformation at National PG College underscores a commitment to leveraging technology for educational advancement. By recording lectures in classrooms or the college's dedicated recording facility, the institution ensures that high-quality content is readily available for student access. The integration of AI tools in video production is expected to revolutionize the way complex subjects are taught, making them more accessible and understandable.

The inclusion of SWAYAM courses and sustainability goals reflects a holistic approach to education, preparing students not only for academic success but also for responsible global citizenship. With these initiatives, National PG College positions itself at the forefront of educational innovation in Lucknow, setting a benchmark for other institutions to follow in the digital age.
