Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) on Monday approved its examination calendar for the 2026-27 academic session during a meeting of the examination board chaired by Vice-Chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh.
According to PPU Registrar Abu Bakar, the examination calendar has been prepared to ensure timely conduct of examinations and publication of results in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which has been fully implemented across all constituent and affiliated colleges of the university.
The meeting reviewed various examination-related matters and emphasized strict adherence to the academic schedule to maintain transparency and efficiency in the examination system, he said.
First NEP Batch to Graduate
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor will release the results of the undergraduate (UG) semester VI examination for the 2023-27 academic session on Tuesday. “The declaration of the results assumes special significance as it marks the passing out of the first batch of students who pursued their studies under the framework of NEP 2020 at the university,” said PPU Examination Controller Manoj Kumar.
The successful completion of the four-year undergraduate programme by the first NEP batch reflects the university's commitment to implementing the reforms envisaged under the new education policy. The policy focuses on multidisciplinary learning, skill development, flexibility in course selection, and outcome-based education, Kumar added. He also noted that the VC expressed satisfaction over the smooth implementation of NEP 2020 and the examination system in line with national educational reforms.
