Loyola College Prepares for Psychology Fest PSYFER 2026 in Thiruvananthapuram
The Department of Counselling Psychology (PG) and the Department of Psychology (FYUGP) at Loyola College of Social Sciences (Autonomous) are joining forces to organize a major event. They will host the Psychology Fest, named PSYFER 2026, on January 30. This collaborative effort aims to create a dynamic platform for students and young people to explore psychology and mental health topics.
Engaging Youth Through Accessible Formats
Organizers have designed the fest to make psychology and mental health conversations more approachable for youth and students. They plan to use engaging, relatable language and easy-to-understand formats. The event welcomes all students, including those not studying psychology, offering a unique opportunity for learning, interaction, and awareness building.
Ammu Lukose, the HoD (In-Charge) of the counselling psychology department, extended a warm invitation. "We invite you to be part of this vibrant celebration of psychology and mental well-being," she said. Her statement highlights the fest's goal of fostering a supportive community around mental health.
Exciting Activities and Professional Workshops
Participants can expect a diverse range of activities at PSYFER 2026. The schedule includes:
- Various exciting competitions
- Interactive games and activities
- Hands-on workshops facilitated by experienced mental health professionals
These workshops will provide practical insights and skills, making the learning experience both fun and educational. The involvement of professionals ensures high-quality content and guidance for all attendees.
The fest represents a significant initiative by Loyola College to promote mental health awareness among the younger generation. By opening it to non-psychology students, the college hopes to reach a broader audience and spark interest in psychological well-being.
