Science Samagra Mahotsav 2K26 Emerges as Premier Innovation Platform for Andhra Pradesh Students
The Science Samagra Mahotsav 2K26 has established itself as a groundbreaking platform for student innovations across Andhra Pradesh, bringing together an impressive 29,435 participants from 4,118 schools spanning all 26 districts of the state. These young innovators formed 12,528 teams that transformed ordinary classrooms into dynamic innovation laboratories, converting raw ideas into practical models and creative solutions that address real-world challenges.
Inclusive Approach and Comprehensive Participation
What makes this initiative particularly remarkable is its inclusive approach that ensures equal opportunity for students across both rural and urban areas. Science City of Andhra Pradesh, the organizing body behind this state-level innovative event, has implemented a system where students conceptualize and develop their own projects while teachers and headmasters review and upload them on the official portal. This process ensures both transparency and comprehensive evaluation throughout the competition.
"The key highlights of the initiative are its inclusive approach," explained Science City CEO Kesineni Venkateswarlu. "The competition was conducted in schools across rural and urban areas, ensuring equal opportunity for students statewide. Students conceptualised and developed their own projects, while teachers and headmasters reviewed and uploaded them on the official portal, ensuring transparency and comprehensive evaluation."
Multi-Level Evaluation Process
The selection process for Science Samagra Mahotsav 2K26 was conducted through four rigorous stages: school level, mandal level, district level, and finally state level. Projects underwent evaluation by an expert jury that assessed them based on multiple parameters including innovation quality, scientific clarity, feasibility, teamwork, and environmental sustainability. Officials emphasized that this multi-level scrutiny system ensures fairness and merit-based selection throughout the competition.
Venkateswarlu further revealed that efforts are currently underway to secure recognition for the event in both the India Book of Records and the Asian Book of Records, highlighting the scale and significance of this educational initiative. Organizers describe Science Samagra Mahotsav not merely as a competition but as a movement designed to nurture innovation among children and promote scientific temper throughout the state.
