This year's results show a consistent pass percentage of 77% for both first-year and second-year students. A total of over 10.57 lakh students appeared across both examination levels, with approximately 5.31 lakh candidates taking the first-year examination and more than 5.26 lakh students appearing for the second-year papers.
The examinations were conducted between February 23 and March 24, 2026, across various examination centers throughout Andhra Pradesh. The board has maintained rigorous evaluation standards while ensuring timely result declaration for all candidates.
Comparison with Previous Year's Performance
When compared to the 2025 results, this year shows significant improvement in overall performance. In 2025, the first-year examination recorded a pass percentage of only 47%, with 23,799 students clearing the exam out of 50,314 candidates. The second-year results in 2025 were stronger at 69%, with 27,276 students passing out of 39,783 candidates.
Gender-wise performance analysis from 2025 revealed that girls consistently outperformed boys in both years. In the first-year examination, girls achieved a 55% pass rate compared to 39% for boys. Similarly, in the second-year results, girls recorded a 74% pass percentage against 62% for male candidates.
