The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP), based in Guntur, has officially announced that the AP Inter 1st and 2nd year results for the 2026 academic session will be declared on April 15, starting from 10:31 AM. This announcement pertains to the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) conducted in March, with results accessible online for all registered students.

Official Result Time and Access Channels

According to a notification issued by the Secretary of BIEAP from Tadepalli, the results will be made available precisely at 10:31 AM on April 15. Students can retrieve their marks by visiting the official website, resultsbie.ap.gov.in, and entering their hall ticket number along with other required credentials.

In addition to the website, the board has introduced an alternative access method through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp service. To use this facility, students need to send a "Hi" message to the number 9552300009 and follow the subsequent prompts to receive their marks memo directly on their mobile devices. This option is designed to alleviate congestion during peak traffic hours, ensuring smoother access for candidates.

Examination Scale and Student Participation

The AP Intermediate examinations for 2026 witnessed substantial participation, with a total of over 10.57 lakh students registered across both years. Specifically, more than 5.31 lakh candidates appeared for the first-year exams, while over 5.26 lakh students took the second-year exams. The results will be released simultaneously for both groups, underscoring the event's significance for academic progression and higher education eligibility.

Structural Changes in the 2026 AP Inter Exams

The 2026 examination cycle introduced several modifications aimed at refining assessment patterns and reducing student burden. Key changes include:

  • First-year students were provided with a 32-page answer booklet, whereas second-year students received a 24-page booklet.
  • Subjects such as Mathematics 1A and 1B, along with Botany and Zoology, were merged to streamline the exam process.
  • One-mark questions were incorporated into key subjects to enhance objective evaluation and align the syllabus with national-level entrance exams like JEE and NEET.

Marks Memo Details and Post-Result Procedures

The AP Inter marks memo will contain essential information, including the student's name, hall ticket number, subject-wise marks, total marks, grade, and qualifying status. Students are advised to carefully verify all details after downloading the provisional certificate, as it will serve as a temporary document for admissions until original certificates are issued later through respective institutions.

For those dissatisfied with their results, an option to apply for recounting will be available at a cost of Rs 100 per subject, with the process expected to commence in April. Additionally, candidates who do not qualify can appear for supplementary examinations, while improvement exams will be offered for those seeking to enhance their scores.

The announcement of the AP Inter results 2026 marks a critical milestone for over 10 lakh students in Andhra Pradesh, with the board implementing multiple access methods and structural updates to ensure a fair and efficient evaluation process.
