The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced a significant extension for the application window of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed) Joint Entrance Examination 2026. This move, made in the interest of prospective students, provides a fresh opportunity for candidates who missed the initial deadline to apply for the 2026–2028 academic session.
Revised Application Schedule and Key Dates
According to the official notice, Advertisement No. PR 331/2025, the board has revised the submission timeline. The original window for online application and fee payment was from December 11 to December 24, 2025. This period has now been officially extended.
Candidates can now submit their online forms and pay the examination fee from December 26, 2025, to January 09, 2026. The board has clarified that all other conditions specified in its earlier notification, PR 323/2025, remain unchanged. Applicants are urged to complete the process through the official BSEB portal within the new deadline.
Examination Timeline and Important Procedures
The D.EL.Ed Joint Entrance Examination 2026 is scheduled to be held between January 19, 2026, and February 18, 2026. In preparation for the test, the board will release admit cards on January 10, 2026.
A dummy admit card will be issued prior to the examination, and a separate correction window for it will be announced later. Following the exam, candidates will have the chance to raise objections to the provisional answer key. The objection window will be open from February 26 to March 01, 2026. The final results for the entrance exam are expected to be declared in March 2026.
Application Fee, Eligibility, and Age Criteria
The application fee varies by category. General, EBC, EWS, and BC category candidates need to pay ₹960. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Divyang categories, the fee is ₹760. Payment can be made online using multiple methods, including debit cards, credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, and mobile wallets.
Regarding eligibility, applicants must have passed the Intermediate or Class 12 examination from a recognized board. General and OBC candidates require a minimum of 50% marks, while SC and ST candidates need at least 45%.
The age requirement stipulates that candidates must be at least 17 years old as of January 01, 2026. There is no upper age limit, and age relaxation will be provided as per the existing rules of the Bihar School Examination Board.
