CBSE Class 10 Results 2026: Gurgaon Region Records Strong Performance with 93.2% Pass Rate
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) officially declared the Class 10 results on Wednesday, showcasing impressive academic achievements across the Gurgaon region. Students from various schools in the area delivered outstanding performances, with some securing perfect scores of 100%.
Top Scorers and Individual Excellence
Among the standout achievers, Tanay Srivastava from Amity School in Sector 46 achieved a flawless 100% score. Similarly, Riddhima Gupta, also from Amity School, and Anjali Agrawal from DAV Public School in Sector 14, both scored an exceptional 99.8%. While CBSE does not release an official list of toppers, individual schools have published their own merit lists to recognize these high-performing students.
Regional and State-Wide Pass Percentages
The Gurgaon region, which encompasses 12 districts including Faridabad, Gurgaon, Palwal, and Sonipat, reported an overall pass percentage of 93.2%. Out of 1,09,197 students who appeared for the examination, 1,01,783 successfully cleared it. This region falls under the jurisdiction of the CBSE Gurgaon regional office, established in 2025, which previously managed southern districts from the Panchkula office.
In Haryana state, a total of 1,77,549 students—comprising 72,969 girls and 1,04,580 boys—took the Class 10 exams. Of these, 1,63,849 passed, resulting in an overall state pass percentage of approximately 92.2%, slightly down from 92.3% in 2025.
Gender-Wise Performance Analysis
A detailed breakdown reveals that girls outperformed boys in the Gurgaon region. Among 44,688 girls who appeared, 42,575 passed, achieving a pass percentage of 95.3%. In contrast, 64,509 boys appeared, with 59,208 passing, yielding a pass percentage of about 91.8%.
At the state level in Haryana, 69,141 out of 72,969 girls cleared the exam, registering a pass percentage of 94.8%. Meanwhile, 94,708 out of 1,04,580 boys passed, resulting in a pass percentage of around 90.6%.
Comparative Performance with Other Regions
Delhi notably surpassed the national average pass percentage of 93.7% this year, recording 97.2%, up from 95.1% in 2025. In the Noida region, which includes 18 districts such as Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad, the overall pass percentage stood at 87.66%. This marks a decline from 89.41% in 2025 and 90.97% in 2024, yet the region maintained a robust success rate with strong individual performances, including at least one candidate scoring a perfect 100%.
Second Board Examination Schedule and Guidelines
Alongside the result announcement, CBSE has released the schedule and guidelines for the Class 10 second board examination, designed for students seeking to improve their scores. Key details include:
- Submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) will commence after the declaration of results.
- The first phase of examination fee payment is scheduled from April 16 to April 20, during which LOC submission and fee payment will occur simultaneously.
- A third phase with late fees will run from April 21 to April 22.
According to the official notification issued on result day, candidates have several options:
- Those wishing to appear in the Second Board Examination but not submitted during the First Phase may now submit names and pay fees.
- Candidates who submitted names earlier can now proceed with fee payment.
- Students may withdraw their names if they no longer wish to appear.
- Mathematics options can be changed; for instance, students who offered Mathematics (Standard) in the Main Examination may opt for Mathematics (Basic) in the Second Examination.
