Tragic Incident in Jaipur
A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Jaipur on Wednesday evening when a 13-year-old boy allegedly died by suicide at his aunt's residence. The young student, identified as Moksha Yadav, was studying in Class 7 at a private school in the city.
Discovery of the Tragedy
The tragic event occurred around 5 pm on Wednesday in the Vatika Road Dairy Scheme locality. According to police officials, the boy's aunt made the shocking discovery when she found him hanging from the ceiling of his room.
Hearing her desperate screams, neighbors immediately rushed to the house to offer assistance. Local residents not only informed the police but also helped bring the child down from the noose in an attempt to save his life.
Police Investigation and Family Response
Circle Inspector Anil Jaiman from Sanganer Sadar police station confirmed that this appears to be a clear case of suicide based on their preliminary investigation. The police have thoroughly examined the room where the incident occurred and checked the boy's school bag, including his notebooks, but no suicide note was recovered.
The boy had returned from school in the afternoon and had gone to his room afterward, according to police statements. His family, originally from Charkhi Dadari in Haryana, arrived in Jaipur on Thursday. After the completion of the postmortem examination, the body was handed over to them for final rites.
A police officer involved in the case stated, "The family has not expressed any suspicion regarding the death and have not filed any formal complaint. If they provide any complaint in the future, we will investigate the case accordingly."
Authorities have registered a case to determine what circumstances might have led the young student to take such an extreme step, highlighting the ongoing concern about mental health issues among teenagers in educational environments.
