Exam Details and Schedule
According to the Directorate of Education Delhi, the test took place from 11:30 am to 2 pm. It was organized across 75 CM SHRI schools, which include a diverse mix of educational institutions: 18 girls’ schools, five boys’ schools, and 52 co-educational schools, ensuring broad accessibility for students.
Result Announcements and Future Dates
Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam for Classes 6 and 9 can anticipate the results to be announced by April 30, 2026. For Class 11, the entrance test is scheduled for May 7, 2026, with a slightly extended duration from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. The result for Class 11 will be declared by May 25, 2026. Admit cards for Class 11 will be released on May 1 through the official Edudel portal, starting at 12 noon onwards.

Eligibility Criteria and Reservation Policies
As per the guidelines, only students who are residents of Delhi and studied in recognized schools in the capital during the 2025–26 academic session are eligible to apply. Specific class requirements include:
- Class 6: Students who passed Class 5.
- Class 9: Students who passed Class 8.
- Class 11: Students who passed Class 10.
At least 50% of seats are reserved for students from government-run schools, including those under DoE, MCD, NDMC, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, and government-aided schools in Delhi. The minimum qualifying marks for the merit list is 25% for General category candidates, with a relaxation of 5% for reserved category candidates.
Admission Finalization Process
Admission will be finalized differently for each class:
- Class 6: School allotment based on preferences and cutoff scores.
- Class 9: Common merit list and allotment based on score, category, and preferences.
- Class 11: Candidates must select three school preferences and stream options, which include STEM-focused courses, Finance, Humanities, and Performing and Visual Arts.
