Within this, reservations for SC (15%), ST (7.5%), OBC-NCL (27%), and EWS (10%) categories apply as per government norms. Additionally, 5% horizontal reservation each is provided for persons with disabilities and defence personnel. The university has also earmarked supernumerary seats for Kashmiri migrants and NRI/PIO candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility for most UG programmes is passing Class XII or an equivalent qualification, including vocational pathways such as NTC, NAC, CITS, or NSQF Level 4.0 certification. However, programmes such as BSc Physical Sciences, BSc Life Sciences, and Diploma in Pharmacy require a science background in Class XII. Admissions to the Diploma in Pharmacy will be conducted separately in accordance with Pharmacy Council of India regulations.

NEP-Aligned Structure

As part of its NEP-aligned academic structure, DSEU allows multiple entry and exit options, enabling students to leave with a certificate after one year, a diploma after two years, or a degree after three years.

Academic Calendar

According to the academic calendar, classes for the new session will commence on July 1.
