Governor Anandiben Patel Inaugurates New School Building at Jan Bhawan in Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel emphasized on Monday that society is highly supportive when there is a clear assurance that resources provided to them are being utilized effectively and efficiently. The governor made these remarks while inaugurating the building of Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya located within the Jan Bhawan premises in Lucknow.
Societal Contributions Play Pivotal Role in Transformation
Governor Patel highlighted how contributions from society, various organizations, and individual donors have played a crucial and transformative role in enhancing educational institutions across the state. "Whether it is the institutions situated within the Jan Bhawan premises or the Anganwadi centres spread across Uttar Pradesh, the generous contributions received from society have been instrumental in their remarkable transformation," Patel stated during the inauguration ceremony.
The newly inaugurated school building was constructed at a total cost of ₹5.17 crore, with the government contributing ₹4.7 crore of this amount. The institution currently has a student strength of 500 pupils who will benefit from the enhanced facilities.
Government Limitations and Societal Responsibility
Pointing out the significant changes implemented at Jan Bhawan, Governor Patel acknowledged that the government cannot deliver amenities and infrastructure everywhere and at all times. "Therefore, society too must contribute in the best possible ways to support educational development," she emphasized. The governor specifically mentioned how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from banks and other resources have been effectively utilized to improve educational infrastructure.
Holistic Development Approach at Jan Bhawan
Governor Patel detailed the comprehensive approach being implemented at Jan Bhawan, where equal importance is given to academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. "Officials, staff members, and children collectively participate in various sports and activities, which fosters both physical well-being and a strong spirit of teamwork. This integrated approach promotes a healthy lifestyle among all participants," she explained.
High-Level Inspection and Book Release
During the event, Governor Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted a thorough inspection of the entire Jan Bhawan premises. They interacted extensively with students and gathered detailed information about their classrooms, various activities, laboratory facilities, and other educational resources available to them.
Additionally, a significant literary contribution was made with the release of a book titled 'Hamara Jan Bhawan', authored by Governor Patel herself. This publication chronicles the numerous initiatives and developments undertaken at Jan Bhawan over the past seven years, documenting the journey of transformation.
Comprehensive School Transformation Under Governor's Guidance
Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh praised the comprehensive transformation that the school at Jan Bhawan premises has undergone under the governor's guidance and leadership. "Equipped with modern amenities, including advanced computer laboratories and AI laboratories, this school is now perfectly poised to serve as a strong foundation for the students' bright future," Singh declared during the event.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent political figures including Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, and Secondary Education Minister Gulab Rani, demonstrating the collective commitment to educational development in Uttar Pradesh.
