Gujarat Assistant Education Inspector Aptitude Test Results Announced
The Gujarat State Examination Board has officially declared the results for the Assistant Education Inspector Aptitude Test (AEIAT), which was conducted on March 1. This examination serves as a crucial preliminary screening for Class-III vacancies through direct recruitment in the state's education department.
Exam Attendance and Participation Statistics
Out of a total of more than 25,000 registered candidates, only 17,119 individuals actually appeared for the examination. This resulted in a significant number of absentees, with 8,872 candidates failing to take the test. The overall attendance rate stood at 65.87%, indicating that approximately one-third of registered candidates did not participate.
Qualification Rates and Performance Analysis
From the 17,119 candidates who appeared, a mere 2,768 successfully qualified for the next stage of the selection process. This represents a qualification rate of just 16.17% among those who took the exam, highlighting the competitive nature of this recruitment examination.
Notably, only eight exceptional candidates managed to score above 150 marks out of the maximum 200 marks available. This elite group represents less than 0.05% of all candidates who appeared, demonstrating the challenging standards of the examination.
Category-Wise Qualifying Marks
The examination established different qualifying benchmarks based on candidate categories:
- General Category: Candidates needed to score above 80 marks (40% of total marks) to qualify
- Reserved Categories: The passing criteria was set at 70 marks (35% of total marks)
Approximately 2,020 candidates managed to score above the 80-mark threshold required for general category qualification.
Examination Logistics and Administration
The AEIAT was conducted across an extensive network of examination centers throughout Gujarat. The test was administered at 137 different centers organized across 1,302 blocks in four major cities: Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Surat. This widespread administration ensured accessibility for candidates across different regions of the state.
Next Stages in Selection Process
Candidates who have successfully cleared this preliminary screening test will now advance to the main examination phase. The main exam will feature both descriptive and objective components, providing a more comprehensive assessment of candidates' capabilities.
According to established board regulations, candidates up to seven times the number of available vacancies will be shortlisted category-wise for the main examination. It is important to note that the preliminary AEIAT serves exclusively as a screening mechanism, with final selection decisions based entirely on performance in the main examination.
The competitive nature of this recruitment process reflects the high standards maintained by the Gujarat State Examination Board for education department positions. With thousands of candidates vying for limited vacancies, the selection process ensures that only the most qualified individuals progress to subsequent stages.
